Aims of the entire NCK KUI project and its structure

The NCK KUI project aims at creating a national platform for cybernetics and artificial intelligence which interlinks research and application oriented centers of robotics and cybernetics for Industry 4.0, Smart Cities, intelligent transport systems and cybersecurity. The connection of innovation leaders will raise effectivity of applied research in key areas, as advanced technology for globally competitive industry, ICT and transportation for the 21st century. NCK KUI is closely related to application sector and enables cross-domain collaboration, innovation development and technology transfer.

NCK KUI project consists of three workpackages, which contain 14 subprojects altogether. Our subproject T1.b belongs to WP1: Robotics and Cybernetics for Industry/Society 4.0. Leader: CIIRC CTU, Responsible prof. Vladimír Mařík

Subproject T1.b Machine perception, intelligent human-machine interface

T1.b subproject methodology aims at the pre-competitive research, i.e. providing solutions at a demo level (TRL 5-6), e.g. to industrial partners from NCK-KUI or elsewhere commercially. NCK-KUI industrial members of the consortium will help specifying particular practical applications of interest, will shape the demo specifications and will participate in R&D activities by nominating their employees to the project demo team. The principle of openness of NCK-KUI will help to promote collaboration between NCK-KUI 14 subprojects. However, the IPR and commercialization constraints will be taken into account. T1.b subproject will share R&D laboratories and workshops with consortium partners at reciprocal or commercial basis.

Subproject T1.b proposal covers 10 subtasks.
